OTT release of 'The Kerala Story' postponed again; When exactly will the film hit OTT? find out

The Kerala Story OTT Update: After ‘The Kashmir Files’, the film ‘The Kerala Story’ created history at the box office. With a budget of 15 to 20 crores, the film grossed more than 300 crores. Due to the controversial subject and bold setting, the film got caught up in the controversy. The film also received a lot of criticism for its serious subject of the conversion of Hindu girls in Kerala and their subsequent recruitment into ISIS.

As much as there was criticism of this film, the film received a great response from the audience. The film’s director Sudipto Sen, producer Vipul Amritlal Shah and lead actress Ada Sharma came together after the release of the film and responded to the protestors by bringing the girls who had gone through this to the world. Overall, after ‘The Kashmir Files’, the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ was in the news because of the political turn it got.

The movie was released on May 5, but the movie is not yet available on any OTT platform. Even after almost 7 months, there is no information about the OTT release of this film. Generally, a film is released on OTT 4 weeks after its theatrical release. But still, many people are confused as this movie is not released on OTT.

In the meantime, there was talk that the film would be released on ‘Netflix’, but later this news turned out to be false. It was also reported that none of the OTT platforms were willing to release the film as the film dealt with a very sensitive subject. A few days later, there was talk that the film would be released on the OTT platform ‘Zee5’, but even after that, there is no new information about it anywhere.

According to a new report by ‘Jagran English’, the OTT release of ‘The Kerala Story’ has been delayed again. Not this year but next year i.e. in January 2024, the film ‘The Kerala Story’ is expected to be released on OTT. There is no official announcement regarding this yet.
